Love Your Serger

A monthly hands-on class meant to explore the ins and outs of your serger. We will present a new technique or stitch-maybe a foot or two and attempt to finish a project each session. We’ll provide the supplies needed for the project unless otherwise specified.

All brands and models are welcome so make sure you bring your manual and accessories (that means screwdrivers). Beginning sergers to experienced. If you are an extreme beginner (have never threaded your machine) please take the Beginning Serger class or schedule a private session to get yourself up to speed.

Supplies:
Serger instruction manual mandatory!
Basic sewing supplies
Regular serger thread

Dates: Fourth Thursday

September 23-Coverstitch and chainstitch will be explored this month. If your machine doesn’t do these stitches, you may want to come and see what you are missing. We’ll have a Bernina serger on hand for you to try. Coverstitch is your tee shirt hem and chainstitch is the stitching on a dog food bag. We’ll have the supplies you need to complete the project.
