My love for sewing began in junior high Home Economics class. Since that time it is difficult for me to not do some sewing on a daily basis. Not only is it my passion but also my therapy! As a former Family and Consumer Science (Home Economics) teacher I have been able to share my love for sewing with youth and adults of all ages. I have worked as a sales associate at a sewing machine dealership as well as education coordinator at a fabric store. My sewing skills include home decor and quilting but my favorite is fashion sewing.
I feel everyone should have the opportunity to learn how to sew. It is a life long skill and can lead to a career in all aspects of fashion and design, but most importantly, it is FUN!
